Reading Post April 09, 2013 Bitter winds did not freeze the enthusiasm of peace protestors who gathered at the gates of the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) in Aldermaston. The Reading Chronicle PROTESTS began last week against the production of nuclear warheads in Aldermaston. New group Action Atomic Weapons Eradication (AAWE) launched a three-year protest plan on Wednesday, bringing 70 people together in Reading Civic Centre to try and halt nuclear weapon production at the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE).
